ABOUT OUR PARTNER

The Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation is part of Community Catalyst, a national nonprofit advocacy organization based in Boston, MA. Community Catalyst works to build the consumer and community leadership required to transform the American health system. It believes this transformation will happen when consumers are fully engaged and have an organized voice.

The Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation provides resources and expertise to ensure that patients and families, particularly those with complex health and social needs, have a voice at all levels of the health care delivery system, from individual care to health system design to state and national policy.

Meet Dr. Brandon G. Wilson, DrPH, MHA

Director, Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation, Community Catalyst

Dr. Brandon G. Wilson, DrPH, MHA is the new director of the Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation. Before joining the center, Brandon served as a public health advisor with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of Minority Health. There, he engaged with federal partners and other CMS stakeholders to advance health equity in regulations, payment policy, models, and demonstrations. Brandon also led the office’s efforts on sexual orientation and gender inclusion data collection, post-acute care policy, and social determinants of health. He directed a strategic portfolio designed to strengthen the business case for health equity and received the CMS Impact Award for advancing health equity and accessibility during COVID-19 for persons living with disabilities. Brandon earned a master’s degree in health systems management at George Mason University and a Doctor of Public Health at Morgan State University.
