Family caregivers are the backbone of our nation’s long-term care system, yet they face growing financial, physical, and emotional challenges that policy has not kept pace with. As more Americans provide unpaid care to aging family members and people with disabilities, the need for bipartisan action continues to grow.

The Caregiving Compendium, developed by researchers at The George Washington University (GWU) and the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston with support from The John A. Hartford Foundation and The SCAN Foundation, is a comprehensive, searchable resource that curates and analyzes federal caregiving proposals across a broad range of policy domains.

Designed to help policymakers across the political spectrum identify legislative solutions that better support family caregivers, the Caregiving Compendium brings relevant federal proposals together in one resource. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Katie Britt (R-AL) will provide opening remarks.
