Resources for Diversifying Leadership Teams in Aging Services

LeadingAge and the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston are working actively to diversify leadership teams in the field of long-term services and supports (LTSS) and ensure that leaders of color are welcomed, supported, and have opportunities to advance at LeadingAge and within organizations that provide services and support to older adults. Our research and engagement activities, described below, are designed to strengthen the LTSS field and build the capacity of its leadership teams to serve a growing and increasingly diverse older population.

Aging Services Diversity Fellowship Pilot Program

LeadingAge and the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) are launching the Aging Services Diversity Fellowship Program to fast-track individuals with high potential who want to enter the field of aging services. The program represents a crucial first step in enhancing the racial and ethnic diversity of leadership teams working in participating organizations.
