Twelve million Americans are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. Misaligned incentives across these programs can result in higher costs and worse health outcomes.

As a result, policy makers have been especially interested in developing integrated care programs to better coordinate services and align payment mechanisms. These programs aim to coordinate medical, behavioral, and long-term services and supports, but have struggled with low enrollment. To better understand the reasons for this, the Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation at Community Catalyst embarked on research examining how dual eligibles view enrollment in integrated care programs.

This virtual event will share findings, policy recommendations, and a toolkit guided by this research, and will provide critical, person-centered insight into how to make enrollment in integrated care programs successful.
