Climate Change is fundamentally a One Health issue. It is a multifaceted crisis with complexities spanning biological, environmental, and anthropological boundaries. Severe weather events and abnormal temperatures associated with climate change can cause shifts in wildlife and plant populations, affect human and animal health, and destabilize food systems, with ripple effects that threaten community cohesion and global health security. These are not isolated events but are profoundly interconnected issues that require a unified approach to understand and manage effectively. By promoting collaborative efforts that span various disciplines—integrating data from environmental and plant science, veterinary and human medicine, and socioeconomics—a One Health framework allows us to create a comprehensive understanding of these dynamic interactions. In this webinar, invited speakers will share One Health efforts that demonstrate the integration crucial for developing effective strategies that address the wide-reaching effects of climate change.
