LTSS Center Fellows Take Leadership Roles at UMass Boston

Edward Miller, Kathrin Boerner, and Jan Mutchler have new responsibilities in the university’s gerontology program.

Three fellows at the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston have taken on leadership roles in the Gerontology Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Dr. Edward Alan Miller, a member of the LTSS Center’s Steering Committee, is the department’s new chair. Dr. Kathrin Boerner is the new graduate program director for the PhD Program in Gerontology and the MS in Gerontology Research/Policy.

Dr. Jan Mutchler is the new director of the Gerontology Institute, which is a partner with LeadingAge in the LTSS Center. Mutchler, who will join the LTSS Center’s Steering Committee, is taking over for the retiring Len Fishman.
