Whitney Mills, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Gerontology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is also an investigator at VA Providence Health Care System in Providence, RI. Mills received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University and a PhD in aging studies from the University of South Florida.
Mills’ research portfolio is dedicated to developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions to improve the quality of life of older adults who require long-term services and supports. In addition, she studies transitions of care, decision-making capacity, and guardianship. Mills has expertise in implementation science and qualitative research methods.
