Kyungmin Kim, PhD, is assistant professor of gerontology at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Kim’s research focuses on the social support exchanged between older parents and their adult children in everyday relationships, and family caregiving issues in aging families. She received her BA and MA in child development and family studies from the Seoul National University, and her PhD in human development and family studies from The Pennsylvania State University.

Before joining the UMass Boston faculty, Kim was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Population Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
